Anadia receives “Portugal Wine Trophy” again

The Bairrada Wine Museum, in Anadia, in the district of Aveiro, hosts another edition of the “Portugal Wine Trophy”, from Thursday to Sunday, with more than a thousand wines from different countries competing.

As in previous years, producers from the Bairrada Demarcated Region have special conditions for participation, namely exemption from payment for registering their wines and sparkling wines, revealed today the Anadia Council, in a statement sent to the Lusa news agency.

The measure is “an investment by the Municipality of Anadia”, which thus seeks to “encourage and promote Bairrada wines internationally, as well as wine tourism and other endogenous regional resources”.

The “Portugal Wine Trophy”, together with the “Berliner Wein Trophy” and the “Asia Wine Trophy”, are among the largest wine competitions in the world and are sponsored by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV).

The event is organized by Deutsche Wein Marketing (DWM) and the Municipality of Anadia.
